The Specialization in Territorial Management and Planning at Universidad de los Andes explores territorial management, urban and regional planning, and the essential tools for land-use planning. This program combines theory and practice to address the challenges of sustainable planning and the management of territorial public policies.
It is designed for professionals interested in analyzing territorial challenges and strengthening their use of regulatory instruments, applied technologies, and planning methods that promote balanced development.
Its practical approach includes tools such as Geospatial Analysis and Project Management, and it is offered in a 100% online format, with interdisciplinary networking opportunities.
In addition, graduates can transfer up to 50% of the credits toward the Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, enhancing their education and their impact on territorial management.

The graduate of the Specialization in Territorial Management and Planning is a professional capable of analyzing, planning, and managing territorial development from an interdisciplinary and sustainable perspective, applying land-use management and urban and regional planning instruments to promote effective public policies.
Students enrolled in a Specialization or Master’s program may transfer credits completed in other CIDER programs or at other institutions, provided they meet the requirements of the University’s Regulations on Credit Transfer and Validation. The credit transfer application must be formally submitted here. for review and approval by the CIDER Academic Coordination Office.
If you are unable to enter the program directly, you can enroll in microcredentials or credit-transferable courses offered by CIDER through the Directorate of Continuing Education, consult the current course portfolio of courses here. Upon passing them, you can request the transfer of academic credits from the Academic Coordination Office.

According to Decree 1067 of May 26, 2015, and Resolution 714 of June 12, 2015, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign students who intend to pursue studies in Colombia must have a Student Visa or another type of visa that allows them to study. This visa must be presented to the Admissions and Registration Office, window 4, or sent to extranjerosuniandes@uniandes.edu.co, with a copy to cidergestor2@uniandes.edu.co, in order to comply with this legal requirement. It is important to complete this procedure before printing your tuition payment receipt. Additionally, current Colombian law requires foreign nationals, both adults and minors, who hold a visa valid for more than 3 months to carry a foreigner’s identification card as an identity document. Therefore, it is also necessary to have this requirement (which may be submitted together with your visa).
Please remember that you must begin the process of applying for your visa sufficiently in advance in order to avoid inconveniences with the payment and registration of your tuition.
