Territorial development policies
Territorial development policies (4 credits), modality virtual.
This course provides a historical, critical, and interdisciplinary analysis of various theoretical approaches and public policies aimed at promoting territorial development. In this class, theories and policies implemented in cities and regions of both the Global North and the Global South will be examined, highlighting their objectives, benefits, and limitations. Special attention will be given to the development theories underlying these policies, as well as to the evolution of these approaches over time.

Territorial planning instruments
Territorial Planning Instruments (4 credits), virtual modality.
This course is conceived as a collaborative space for generating knowledge and discussing territorial planning instruments present in Colombia and Latin America. It analyzes the rationale guiding their application, as well as their scope, limitations, results, and possible unforeseen consequences. Rather than exhaustively addressing all available instruments, the course focuses on identifying the territorial problems or challenges that different instruments seek to address. It aims to critically assess how these challenges are addressed from different scales, sectors, and levels of government.

Challenges of Territorial Management and Planning
Challenges of Territorial Management and Planning (4 credits), virtual modality.
This course adopts a problem-based learning approach that introduces an active debate methodology. It requires students to work in teams to research and develop well-founded positions on specific issues. Its thematic design enables the review and analysis of debates concerning territorial management and planning. It also opens the door to identifying current issues that point to new challenges. Each class session will address emerging debates, as well as those that have endured over time and those that have been overcome. Different stakeholders and their contributions to territorial management and planning will also be analyzed

Geospatial Analysis
Geospatial Analysis (4 credits), virtual format.
This course covers the basic concepts of spatial analysis and focuses on their practical application through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Its objective is to obtain results for research problems related to space and support spatial decision-making in the context of public policy.

Project formulation and management
Project formulation and management (4 credits), virtual format.
The main objective of the course is for participants to acquire knowledge and apply concepts related to management strategy and the methodological tools used in the formulation and management of development projects. It focuses on an interdisciplinary, participatory, and environmentally sustainable perspective.

Virtual Format
Virtual sessions on some days between Thursday and/or Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. or between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.; and/or Saturdays between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. *
*The final schedule is determined according to the courses and credits selected by the student.
